Rob
Kaleikau
brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to the world of professional
volleyball skills training based on over 37 years of experience
teaching, competing, and coaching at the local / regional / national /
international levels of volleyball competition throughout the U.S.,
Hawaii, Canada, and Mexico.
He
has participated in many volleyball events with various organizations
including colleges / universities, high schools, USAV junior club teams,
junior high schools, USA Volleyball, Heart of America Sports Camps, city
parks and recreation programs, faith-based organizations, private
fitness/health clubs, YMCA’s, and others.
Rob
was a 2-time AAU volleyball high school All-American hitter / setter /
all-around athlete and was recruited by several Division I and NAIA
schools including Ohio State Univ.

Loyola Marymount University
(Los
Angeles, CA),
and Graceland University
(Lamoni,
Iowa).
He attended Loyola on a volleyball scholarship where, as a starting
freshman setter/hitter, the Lions competed in the NCAA Division I, SCIVA
League, against powerhouse teams such as UCLA, USC, and UC Santa
Barbara. The Lions also toured internationally to Canada and Mexico to
compete against collegiate all-stars and national teams.
Transferring from Loyola to Graceland University, the Yellow Jackets
became the 1978 runner-up NAIA National Champions and Rob was selected
to the All-Tournament Team. The following year, Graceland captured the
1979 NAIA National Championship crown. Rob was selected by coaches as
the National Tournament Most Valuable Player and finished Graceland as a
2-time All-American, 3-time MAIVA League MVP, 3-time team MVP, and
2-time varsity captain. Rob also won over 40 USA volleyball tournaments
in his career as a player.
Founder of Rob Kaleikau Volleyball (RKV), Rob currently provides
professional volleyball skills instruction and programming and has
trained over 250 athletes at several facilities including Longview
Recreation Center
(Lee’s
Summit, Mo.);
New Walnut Park Gym
(Independence, Mo.);
USAV Invasion Volleyball Club
(Blue
Springs, MO),
and LifeTime Fitness Center
(Overland
Park, KS).
The majority of athletes he trains compete on high school / jr. high /
juniors club teams in Missouri and Kansas and include setters / hitters
/ libero & defensive specialists / all-around athletes.
Rob
is an alumnus of Graceland University
(Iowa),
Loyola Marymount Univ.
(Los
Angeles, CA),
University of Hawaii
(Honolulu,
HI), and Harvard University
(Cambridge, MA).
He is professionally certified through USA Volleyball CAP I and IMPACT,
American Sport Education Program, and the American Institute of
Certified Planners. His professional background is in urban planning.
Rob
is a Missouri native and resides in Lee’s Summit, Mo. with his wife
(Cynthia) and two children (Taylor, Jace).
